Food and Environment Testing

Foods we eat and environmental exposure can affect the way we digest out foods, absorb nutrients in the digestive tract, clog up our detoxification pathways and add to our bodies stress levels.. These everyday assaults may be small but over time, the body's ability to cope can be reduced, leading to skin breakouts or rashes, sore joints or muscles, reduced energy and many other symptoms.

  • Food and Environmental Sensitivity Assessment:

A safe and non-invasive test that utilises hair analysis to assess sensitivity to a broad range of food and environmental compounds. Reducing food and environmental sensitivities can help improve digestive problems and reduces stress caused within the body. I recommend this test early in your health journey.

Sensitivities and intolerances to foods and environmental compounds are on the increase, and can cause varying amounts of distress to the body. In many cases, the exact triggers for this distress cannot always be readily identified. The body systems that are most affected by these reactive compounds are the gastrointestinal and immune systems.
This hair test is able to identify sensitivity to a broad range of different substances including food and environmental compounds.

  • ALCAT â€‹Food and Chemical Sensitivity

ALCAT = Antigen leukocyte cellular antibody test

A blood test that measures the body's cellular response to challenges from a wide array of substances including various foods, additives, colouring, chemicals, functional foods and medicinal herbs. The individual's cellular reactivity after exposure of the blood to the various test agents, versus the person's own baseline control, provides the substances which may be causing a sensitivity related response in the body. Following testing, a 4 day rotational plan is recommended to follow.

The ALCAT Test is a tool for managing conditions linked to inflammation and chronic activation of the immune system. The ALCAT Test measures individual responses to foods and other substances at the cellular level and may reveal the underlying trigger of certain symptoms.

Food and chemical sensitivities have been linked to migraines, aching joints, fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, and other symptoms related to chronic activation of the immune system.

Clinical assessments of the ALCAT Test used to guide dietary modification have shown significant improvement in many common symptoms. The efficacy of the ALCAT Test has been documented in numerous studies implementing rigorous double blind and often placebo controlled study designs.
